Role Description: Salesforce seeks a talented, self-directed, technical leader to manage software engineers on the Information Technology Application Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of tools, systems, and applications that support the Salesforce HR systems. You will collaborate with many teams across Information Technology and Employee Success to scale and enhance HR systems for the unparalleled growth of Salesforce. Responsibilities: * Hire and retain top engineering talent * Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements. * Drive the implementation and adoption of best practices in software engineering, including Agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery. * Champion the utilization of MuleSoft and Workday integration solutions for Workday HCM, leveraging its capabilities to streamline business processes and enhance efficiency. * Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive test automation strategies for Integrations and Workday HCM, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. * Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status updates effectively. * Occasional travel is involved Experience/Skills Required: * 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of leadership and project delivery in HR Systems such as Workday / Peoplesoft in end to end Hire to Retire cycle * Strong understanding of engineering management principles, including team leadership, performance management, and talent development. * Experience managing vendor partners and teams extended with contractors * A keen eye for Innovation, Engineering / Operational Excellence, and Test Automation * Worked on project delivery in Workday Human Capital Management * Experience in HR domain (Hire to Retire, Talent Foundations, Total Rewards, Global Time & Absence, Payroll) * Experience in multiple Integration technologies like MuleSoft and Workday integrations (Studio, Orchestrations, etc.) * Experience managing global team working out of multiple time zones * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Experience with agile/scrum methodology Unleash Your Potential When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life.
