Position Title: Director, Community Marketing Reports to: VP of Demand Generation & Analytics Location: NYC or Remote CyberRisk Alliance (CRA) is the nation’s fastest-growing business intelligence platform dedicated to cybersecurity and digital risk professionals. At the heart of CRA is a thriving community of cybersecurity leaders who share knowledge, collaborate with peers, and accelerate innovation across the industry. CRA is seeking a Director of Community Marketing to lead growth, engagement, and member experience for the CyberRisk Collaborative (CRC). This role will scale a high-value membership community of cybersecurity leaders while driving measurable growth, engagement, and revenue across CRA’s events, digital products, and paid services. CRC’s mission is to strengthen the cybersecurity workforce by accelerating leadership development, facilitating access to innovation, and empowering the C-suite with trusted peerdeveloped insights and solutions. This leader will build and execute strategies that attract and retain cybersecurity executives and rising leaders across both public and private sectors. The role will work closely with membership operations, marketing, content, and events teams to deliver a premium member experience and expand the impact of CRA’s community platform. The ideal candidate is both a builder and operator with deep experience growing professional communities or membership programs. They bring a product mindset, strong data orientation, and a passion for creating programs that deliver meaningful value for executive audiences. Responsibilities: - Drive Membership Growth- Lead CRC’s member acquisition strategy and grow the community across cybersecurity leaders, including C-suite executives, VPs, directors, and emerging leaders. Build and optimize acquisition funnels, onboarding experiences, and engagement programs that increase activation and long-term retention - Strengthen CRC’s Value Proposition- Continuously refine CRC’s positioning to ensure clear differentiation and strong relevance to enterprise cybersecurity leaders. Develop programming strategies that drive recurring engagement through digital content, peer forums, and virtual events. - Increase Member Value and Revenue Contribution- Develop structured pathways that connect members to CRA’s broader offerings, including digital solutions, national programs, and paid services. Lead pricing and packaging strategies, membership tiers, benefits, and renewal frameworks to grow lifetime member value. - Scale the CRC Partner Program- Design and grow a sponsor partner framework that delivers measurable value for sponsors while preserving the independence and peer-driven nature of the community. - Convert Event Audiences into Members- Develop strategies to convert qualified Official Cybersecurity Summit attendees into CRC members, strengthening the connection between CRA’s event portfolio and its year-round community. - Own Digital Community Experiences- Manage CRC’s digital community products and virtual event experiences to ensure a seamless, premium experience for members. - Build the CRC Member Platform- Oversee development of a modern member portal that supports collaboration, gated content, and integrated community benefits. - Lead Brand and Community Expansion- Guide the continued evolution of the CRC brand, including integration with the Official Cybersecurity Summit and new initiatives such as Emerging Leaders and Women in Cyber programs. - Drive Data and Performance Measurement- Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and KPIs that measure growth, engagement, retention, and revenue contribution - Collaborate Across the Organization- Partner with marketing, sales, content, digital, and events teams to align messaging, campaigns, and lifecycle marketing strategies. Work closely with membership operations to ensure consistent member engagement and operational excellence. Qualifications: - Proven experience growing and managing a membership product, subscription product, or community-driven platform - Demonstrated ability to design and execute engagement programs that drive retention and repeat participation - Experience owning digital experiences and working across teams to improve product performance and member satisfaction - Strong understanding of subscription fundamentals, including trial/renewal mechanics, retention levers, and lifecycle journeys - Experience with pricing strategy and modeling (membership tiers, benefits packaging, conversion levers, and incentives) - Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills - Data-driven approach with experience defining KPIs and using performance insights to guide strategy - Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging senior executive audience Preferred Experiences: - Experience growing digital membership, community, or subscription-based programs - Strong understanding of executive-level audiences and engagement strategies - Experience driving community growth, retention, and monetization - Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics and dashboards to guide strategy - Ability to collaborate across marketing, sales, content, and product teams - Passion for building communities that deliver real professional value - The ideal candidate leads with humility, empathy, kindness, and compassion, values that are core to the Communities platform Job Information (NYC) For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, CRA is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account numerous factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to a candidates' qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $120,000, which does not include other compensation benefits package.
