• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data pipelines that power media ingestion, processing, and serving at Airbnb scale • Build platform capabilities that enable ML/AI teams to trigger analysis workflows, store extracted metadata, and access media intelligence across product surfaces • Work closely with engineers from product teams across Airbnb, understanding their media needs and building self-serve solutions to address them • Continuously optimize and improve the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of existing media infrastructure • Stay current with industry trends in distributed systems, media processing, ML infrastructure, and workflow orchestration frameworks • Mentor and guide team members in their career development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth

• Architect, build and manage integrations and micro services in Java/Python. • Design, code and execute on projects, continuously improving systems and operations • Design and build AI-assisted automations and MCP integrations to extend internal platform capabilities. • Document the Designs and Runbooks and Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Provide guidance and share knowledge with other members in the team. • Support the Application infrastructure including OCI and more. • Understanding the requirements for different Oracle modules and coming up with solutions to review with the team and present to stakeholders.

• Partner with PM/Design/Data Science to clarify goals, requirements, constraints, and success metrics, and translate them into a sequenced technical plan. • Write or review technical designs, align tradeoffs, and coordinate dependencies with partner teams across regions. • Build production code and services with a high quality bar: testing, documentation, instrumentation, and performance/reliability considerations. • Run design and code reviews, advise engineers, and help drive consistent engineering standards across the team. • Own delivery: track execution risks, provide stakeholder updates, coordinate launches (including localization/market rollout), and monitor post-launch results to iterate quickly.

• Own technical vision and lead effort to architecture, prototype, build and launch solutions for international markets initiatives (market configuration, localization services, partner integrations, compliance-aware experiences, etc). • Lead complex, cross-team execution from design through launch, including team roadmap, technical direction, migration plans, rollout strategy, and long-term operability. • Drive engineering excellence through reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency. • Influence roadmaps and collaborate with stakeholders across regions, such as drives alignment, resolves tradeoffs, leads through ambiguity. • Mentor engineers both within and outside of the team.
