Job Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio across formats and platforms

- Experience with QC across video, audio, and color pipelines

Role Description Assembles the final cut of video projects. Duties include: - Maintain the original message of the script without rewriting or altering content - Edit footage for pacing, clarity, and visual continuity - Balance audio levels for narration, music, and sound effects to ensure clear playback - Add graphics, captions, and visual elements required by the production plan - Verify accessibility basics, including readable on-screen text and clear audio levels - Export videos in the correct format and resolution for YouTube and internal archives - Create YouTube thumbnails that accurately represent the subject and tone of the video - Upload completed files to the designated project storage or publishing system - Coordinate with other departments when edits affect presentation or clarity - Maintain organized project files and version control for all video assets Qualifications You will receive task assignments and guidance from our leadership team weekly or biweekly, based on your personal preference. We ask our volunteers to provide approximately five to ten hours of their time per week while maintaining consistent communication. A Video Editor & Designer at Creative Milkshake is responsible for turning creative briefs and storyboards into high-performing short-form and long-form video content. You’ll bring concepts to life through strong pacing, storytelling, and visual execution, ensuring every asset is on-brand, and delivered with precision in a fast-moving production environment. Key Responsibilities - Create short-form and long-form videos from creative briefs & storyboards for social media, ads, and digital campaigns (Reels, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, etc.) - Create supporting graphic assets (thumbnails, overlays, end cards, captions) - Apply strong pacing, storytelling, and visual hierarchy - Follow brand guidelines and implement feedback accurately - Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Work closely with creative strategists, producers, and team leads - Organize project files and maintain clean, scalable workflows What We're Looking For - 3+ years experience in video editing, including short-form content. - Expertise in professional editing software: - Adobe Premiere Pro - Adobe After Effects (basic motion & text animation) is a plus - Strong design fundamentals (typography, layout, composition). - Ability to enhance edits with color correction and audio-sweetening techniques, i.e, background music and SFX. - Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (Runway, Pika, Midjourney, etc.). - Attention to detail and ability to work fast without sacrificing quality.
