Staff Software Engineer
Sparrow - TrySparrow.com, Inc.
• Take ownership of large ambiguous problem domains (e.g. major areas of the product roadmap, complex technical integrations, unexplored areas) and help chart our course in these areas; • Partner closely with company leadership and cross-functional teams to define our product and engineering roadmaps; • Build and ship new features and products to improve the user experience for employees and employers; • Apply software to streamline our internal processes and enable us to scale more efficiently; • Invest in our engineering health and processes and ensure we are building sustainably and securely; • Provide mentorship and support to other engineers on the team.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience as a team lead or other demonstrated leadership experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and with other functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and execute in complex domains by breaking things down into manageable pieces.
- Experience with modern software tools and processes (git, CI/CD, testing, deployment, cloud platform services, etc).
- Experience with our technical stack (Django, React, Python, JS, Postgres, Heroku) is a plus but not required.
