• Take ownership of large ambiguous problem domains (e.g. major areas of the product roadmap, complex technical integrations, unexplored areas) and help chart our course in these areas; • Partner closely with company leadership and cross-functional teams to define our product and engineering roadmaps; • Build and ship new features and products to improve the user experience for employees and employers; • Apply software to streamline our internal processes and enable us to scale more efficiently; • Invest in our engineering health and processes and ensure we are building sustainably and securely; • Provide mentorship and support to other engineers on the team.

• Lead, architect, and develop features for the Risk Cloud platform • Utilize Spring Boot, Java, and other leading Back-End tools to build a market leading product • Write tests and review code to facilitate an efficient dev cycle and prevent the occurrence of bugs • Work closely with cross-functional team members using Agile methodologies to iterate on feature work • Help improve our front-end application for speed, reliability, and scalability

• Implement technical solutions that meet requirements, following design standards and development best practices; • Maintain and optimize existing systems, including refactoring legacy code and fixing critical bugs; • Implement automated tests to ensure software quality; • Actively participate in the agile software delivery lifecycle and ceremonies (daily stand-ups, dailies, backlog refinements, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.).
