As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Azure Scrum Master (PM). Project Summary AIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities - Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of cloud projects. - Identify, create, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that reduce defects in the cloud. - Exercises strong judgment in the identification and execution of strategic improvement plans. - Anticipates bottlenecks, assess risks, mitigate issues, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. - Influence, motivate and lead others to meet the challenges of cloud operational environment. - Validate customer requirements and coordinate cloud resources to onboard new tenant. - Generate and submit monthly SLA reports to customers and PM. - Support the generation of monthly SLA and other reports. Required For This Opportunity - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience). - 8+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Lead supporting IT or cloud-based development teams. Demonstrated experience supporting teams delivering solutions in AWS cloud environments, including close collaboration with engineers, product owners, and DevOps teams. - Active Secret clearance or higher is required. - Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and using Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.. - Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications. - Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices. Nice to Have Skills - Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems. At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $105,000-$158,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location. THE OPPORTUNITY The Scrum Master (SM) reports to an Agile Development Manager (ADM), and works closely with the Architecture, Engineering, Design, and Software Development teams as a servant-leader to ensure that software solutions are delivered in the most efficient and professional way possible. Role Description The Government of Alberta (GoA) has embarked on transforming the work of government to deliver simpler, more efficient, and better services for the citizens of Alberta, thereby ensuring that the needs of Albertans are effectively met in the digital age. The Digital Design and Delivery Division (DDD) is the Province's new centre for digital delivery. DDD requires two (2) Scrum Masters to work with DDD on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects across the GoA. The Scrum Master will work as part of cross-functional program review or product delivery teams, participating in: - Field research - Backlog definition and refinement - Sprint planning and execution Scrum Master(s) will: - Identify and remove roadblocks and distractions affecting sprint commitments - Manage the agile sprint process for cross-functional teams - Provide leadership and mentoring in agile principles, policies, and procedures - Manage communication and maximize transparency - Resolve conflicts when they arise The Scrum Master will be required on a full-time basis, working across two (2) to three (3) projects.
