Distinguished is a leading national insurance Program Manager providing specialized insurance programs to brokers and agents with specific expertise in Real Estate, Community Associations, Hospitality, Fine Art/Collectibles, Restaurants, Inland Marine, Executive Lines and Construction Professionals & Environmental. You will be an Underwriter II on the Premier Hospitality Umbrella Program team which specializes and serves a variety of hotels, casinos, and resorts. You will be responsible for renewals, pipeline management, risk selection, qualification, pricing within the program guidelines. This includes working and negotiating directly with brokers and carriers to ensure the accuracy of underwriting information, determining eligibility within program guidelines, and ensures insurance files are well documented and servicing Broker's change requests. RESPONSIBILITIES - Analyze and evaluate applicants to ensure proper risk selection. - Negotiate pricing and coverage with brokers. - Support the Product Manager with administration and monitoring of underwriting processes, guidelines, and applications. - Adhere to rating rules with proper file documentation. - Underwrite and document renewal policy transactions, including midterm servicing, within authority. - Communicate with brokers to obtain information needed to underwrite risks, respond to questions, and address issues. - Develop and maintain strong relationships and credibility with Sales Team - Gather competitor information and marketing intelligence to identify opportunities for improvements to products and pricing. - Conduct regular audits. - Participate in other company projects and new initiatives. - Monitor data entry and processing to ensure data integrity. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience (General Liability, Auto Liability, Umbrella coverages) - Insurance license, AU, CIC, CPCU or comparable designations preferred. - Analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel. - Self-driven, detail oriented and organized. Organizational skills include time-management and prioritization. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Some travel required for team and broker meetings on a quarterly basis. LOCATION - This is a remote position. COMPENSATION AND PERKS - $75,000 - $95,000 base salary plus bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location - Summer Fridays (Leave at 2:00PM all Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day). - Great healthcare coverage including Medical, Vision, and Dental. - 401k with 4% company match.
