Senior Software Engineer – Problem Setter
Karat
• Develop high-quality technical interview questions to update Karat’s technical content library • Uphold Karat’s interview content standards through peer reviews, mentorship, and feedback integration • Use your engineering knowledge to produce Karat’s most complex interview content • Partner with our Content Designers in the development of new content formats • Author new technical interview questions in a variety of subject domains • Mentor more junior Content Development Engineers through peer reviews of content developments • Integrate feedback and iterate on content based on performance data
Job Requirements
- 4+ of post-academic experience as a software engineer, with demonstrated ability to program in a common programming language
- Professional working experience using Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or another agentic AI solution for software development
- Experience working remotely with global teams
- Fluent, concise English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience operating independently with high-output and strict deadlines
- Experience conducting technical interviews (Preferred)
- Project, product, or program management experience (Preferred)
- High-growth, quick change startup experience (Preferred)
