• Strategically craft strategies for advantageous client networking: curate dinner guest lists, facilitate 1:1 meetings, and arrange for pull asides during tentpole moments (i.e. TED, Nexus, Davos, etc.) • Build apparatus for consistent engagement with the networks and communities we forge: CRM strategies, convening cadence, 1:1 outreach, etc. • Book and liaise with high level talent, philanthropic leaders, thought leaders, executives, and research and book grassroots community leaders and microinfluencers • Act as client advocate by translating their goals and key messaging accurately and persuasively with talent, influencers, community leaders, and more • Keep an eye towards business development and organic growth opportunities for the clients and projects you’re the lead on

Job Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of client-facing surrogate or publicity experience
  • Experience in the philanthropic or political spheres very helpful
  • You’re a natural networker who can get to know people and keep in touch with them
  • Experience booking and managing champions and surrogates at all levels required
  • Great presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise briefs in partnership with stakeholders
  • Appetite for solving problems, developing effective solutions, and performing in high-velocity, deadline-driven environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to closely track project performance and oversee successful completion of short and long term milestones.

Role Description UNICEF USA seeks a Community Alliance for Child Rights Intern to work with our Youth Engagement, Municipal Partnerships and Digital Strategy teams, as well as other CACR team members, on youth engagement strategies, youth-centric communications and campaigns, and research on best practices. This internship will provide an opportunity to learn about: - Best practices in youth engagement and digital strategy - Planning and executing of campaign-based activations and resource creation - Maintaining communication outreach - UNICEF programs, child-centered governance, advocacy and community engagement - Researching best practices and developing resources to support the UNICEF Clubs Program in their efforts to center children and young people in local decision-making and promote child-centered governance Key Responsibilities/Projects: - Design youth-friendly content for UNICEF USA Youth Clubs for our Back-to-School Campaign - Support ideation and creation of youth-focused social media assets and resources for key moments to engage youth clubs, leaders and a general youth audience - Provide input and support on youth activations related to campaigns, advocacy engagements, Club resources and local policy resources (Child Impact Statements, 2026 UNICEF/UUSA Youth Poll) - Help in creating asynchronous trainings for our youth audience - Develop youth-friendly training materials related to child rights, UNICEF program topics, etc. - Conduct a landscape scan of youth council resources provided by cities Qualifications - Must be a current student enrolled in a College or University degree program such as Communications, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, or any other relevant degree programs. - Interest in research, youth engagement, content design, community organizing and local government - Must have experience with community organizing, volunteer management, and a passion for inspiring others (extracurricular activities, leaders of clubs etc.) - The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of children's rights and international issues, as well as a commitment to public service - The ideal candidate will be resourceful and energetic with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously with attention to detail - Innovation, creativity, and a team player mentality are necessary for success in this role - Demonstrated ability to lead effective presentations and workshops and ease in public speaking for groups large and small - Experience working with students or in educational programming is a plus - Experience working with local government or other types of civic engagement is a plus - Proven ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a virtual team setting - Strong communication skills, both oral and written; experience working with cross-country teams a plus - Fluency in Instagram, TikTok, Canva, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are preferred - Must be a highly motivated team player who enthusiastically embraces the mission of UNICEF and UNICEF USA - Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship. The Community Affairs Officer will work across AHCCCS' divisions to proactively identify external opportunities for AHCCCS involvement and to help identify, prepare for and respond to community input on a variety of issues including but not limited to program development, reimbursement rates, policy changes, HR1, the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and strategic planning. They will serve as a key liaison between the agency and external stakeholders and will work closely with the Communications Team to ensure the agency is transparent and responsive to community needs. This position has the potential to directly supervise at least one team member in support of this work. The Community Affairs Officer reports directly to the Deputy Director of Community Engagement & Regulatory Affairs and maintains a close working relationship with the agency's leadership team.
