Insurance Verification Specialist / Prior Authorization Coordinator
Staffing for Doctors
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Verification Specialist / Prior Authorization Coordinator to support a U.S.-based practice specializing in Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Chiropractic care. This role is critical in ensuring accurate insurance verification, timely authorization approvals, and smooth revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate is persistent, resourceful, and comfortable working within structured workflows that require accuracy and consistent follow-up. Key Responsibilities - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to patient appointments - Confirm coverage details including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and visit limitations - Document verification details accurately within the EMR system - Obtain and manage prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, and treatments - Submit authorization requests with proper documentation and follow up with payers until resolution - Track authorization status and communicate updates with internal teams - Support accounts receivable (AR) by identifying authorization-related claim issues - Maintain detailed notes and ensure proper documentation across workflows - Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and internal staff professionally and effectively - Utilize VoIP systems to support communication and workflow continuity
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in a U.S. healthcare administrative role focused on insurance verification and/or prior authorizations
- Strong understanding of insurance verification processes (eligibility, benefits, coverage details)
- Experience using EMR systems (ConexEM preferred)
- Near-perfect written and spoken English communication skills (non-negotiable)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured workflows consistently
- Highly organized with strong follow-up and task ownership
- Located in Latin America

- Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $7 – $8 per hour depending on skillset and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, aligned with U.S. business hours.

Specific activities may change from time to time. - Prospect and profile producers for new and existing insurance sales opportunities for a defined sales channel, product line and/or solution center - Utilize and understand internal resources to capitalize on team results - Incrementally grow book of business, account, territory, etc. to reflect strategic business plan requirements - Maintain proactive sales relationships with producers of respective territory and/or assigned channel/products/accounts through ongoing producer profiling, constant relationship-building, and refining and refreshing broker base - Maintain sales production metrics on a monthly basis, build appropriate sales inventory and achieve sales production plan - Work with and maintain strong working partnerships with Crump's operations teams (licensing, illustrations, case management, underwriting, commissions, etc.) to effectively issue and place policies - Remain contemporary on relevant industry, legislative and tax-related issues - Provide feedback from agents on product marketing, processing and other related customer service issues - Make required volume of proactive sales calls as required - Maintain accurate customer relationship management (CRM) activity records QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
