Job Requirements
- Summary:
- Provides high level of expertise in the design and functionality of business applications; Understands the business objectives and how best they can be supported by IT; Responsible for the conceptual design of business applications; Reviews and validates the technical design for business applications provided by the supplier; Performs quality review checks on project deliverables; Validates suppliers estimates; Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components; Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude to implement new application functionality; Specifies / recommends integration and parallel testing criteria; Supports the implementation activities, as required; Mentors lower level colleagues.
- Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the conceptual design of business applications Mentors lower-level colleagues
- Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Day-to-day, be responsible for creating and maintain Power BI reports, Dashboards, data models, maintaining data integrity, automated reconciliations, monitoring of data loads, roles & authorization management, using tools like Power BI Desktop, DAX Studio, and Power Query.
- Specifies / Recommends Integration and Parallel testing criteria
- Understands customers’ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the business unit Reviews and validates the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements; Validates suppliers estimates
- Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality
- Performs quality review checks on project deliverables Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned Supports users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan
- Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, training as required
- Technical & Business Skills:
- 3+ years of experience configuring PowerBI
- Experience doing Data Integration within PowerBI
- Experience with DAX and SQL Server
- Experience working with SAP within PowerBI

Role Description We are seeking a passionate Principal Business Intelligence Engineer to help build the next-generation data analytics platform, develop technical specification documents, and support enterprise-wide data solutions. Job Roles and Responsibilities - Lead a team of BI Engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching. - Collaborate with business users, technology teams, and executives to understand data needs and deliver innovative solutions. - Build BI dashboards and continuously improve their quality, consistency, usability, reliability, and security. - Establish and drive BI best practices across the organization. - Design and maintain the semantic data layer for analytics and AI initiatives. - Partner with data science, data engineering, and software engineering teams to automate data analysis and visualization, provide guidance on data transformation, and identify opportunities to enhance data infrastructure. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience with Tableau, including best practices and performance tuning. - Strong experience with SQL and Python. - Strong experience in data modeling, semantic layer, and data catalog. - Ability to evaluate the long-term impact of key design decisions and account for failure scenarios. - Ability to mentor and guide a team of data analysts. - Ability to meet strict deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and perform well under pressure. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a similarly relevant field is strongly preferred.
