Medication History Pharmacy Technician

• Gather and verify complete medication lists and patient allergies • Document all medication details in electronic records • Interview patients/caregivers and consult pharmacists to resolve discrepancies • Assist with quality assurance data, clinical services, order handling, and support pharmacists with data entry and insurance claims

Job Requirements

  • State Pharmacy Technician License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification required
  • 2+ years Pharmacy Technician experience
  • 1+ year with Medication Reconciliation/History in hospitals
  • Prescription data entry and project coordination experience (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with Epic, Cerner and/or MediTech

Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. - Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. - Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). - Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention Management Training - Review existing training programs to make modifications and enhancements. Prioritize management needs to develop new programs that will improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry. - Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective. - Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry. - Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve. - Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions. Recruiting - Report on staffing objectives, statuses and successes. - Communicate with managers to ensure resources are being provided timely and in accordance with business needs. - Work with the HR Generalist to improve interviewing/hiring methods based on trends of turnover.
