• Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines and data warehouses using cloud-native services and PostgreSQL. • Drive the adoption and implementation of DevOps principles and practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, monitoring) across data engineering initiatives. • Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and architectural standards. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient and effective data solutions. • Help teams to optimize and maintain queries essential in data pipelines, reporting, and analytics. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity. • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance our data platform capabilities and operational efficiency. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, pipelines, and operational procedures. • Participate in on-call rotations as needed to support critical data infrastructure.

• Co-responsibility for system availability: You actively contribute to the availability, reliability and efficiency of our complex system architecture, which consists of approximately 70 servers hosted at Hetzner. • Maintenance and automation: You support the maintenance and automation of our existing infrastructure, which is based on technologies such as Ubuntu, Percona MySQL Cluster, MinIO, Elasticsearch, Redis, NGINX, HAProxy, TiDB, ClickHouse and Kubernetes. You contribute ideas for optimization. • Monitoring and analysis: You improve our monitoring strategies and perform comprehensive fault analyses. What Sets You Up for Success: - 5+ years of experience as a DevOps or SRE working within the AWS ecosystem. - 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm charts. - Experience with designing, building, and supporting CI/CD pipelines with ArgoCD and GitHub actions. - Experience with infrastructure-as-code methodologies with Terraform. - Experience with Observability and Monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, and Cloudwatch. - Experience with Incident Management, full stack troubleshooting, performance analysis and root cause analysis (RCA). - Experience with Web application systems such as Nginx, Ingress controllers, load balancing and Content Delivery Networks. - Experience with Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora) and Middleware technologies (Redis, Memcached and SQS) - Good networking skills with VPC, Security Groups and Network ACLs. - Ability to work remotely and manage your own time in a global team. - Good written and verbal communication in English. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
