Reimbursement Contract Manager

• Responsible for supporting the intake and reimbursement teams in the area of commercial contracting and government programs. • Review payor contracts for intake and reimbursement contract terms (e.g., timely filing, clean claim payment terms) and for comprehensive fee provisions/fee schedules common billable services (e.g., per diems, nursing and drugs). • Work with Managed Markets team to address any missing or unfavorable intake and reimbursement contract terms. • Provide comprehensive analyses of missing or unfavorable intake and reimbursement contract terms to VP of Reimbursement and CFO or their respective designees. • Provide payor education to intake and reimbursement teams, including reimbursement trends and policies. • Create, maintain, and manage all Intake and Reimbursement contract resource documents. • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationship with contracted and non-contracted insurance Provider Relations personnel. • Work with Provider Relations personnel to address intake and reimbursement trending issues (e.g., claim denials, non-compliance with contract terms). • Identify opportunities for cost savings and cash collections through payer reimbursement analysis/trends. • Be a contributor to internal and external departmental conversations regarding payers, contracts and industry knowledge. • Completes all necessary managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, addressing performance issues, developing team goals and objectives, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and strategic planning. • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years of Reimbursement/Account Management experience with injectable or infused drugs, or medical device products that require reimbursement support.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- Significant specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in working on Medicare, Medicaid, or Managed Care reimbursement issues at the provider and payer levels
- Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong business, analytical, administrative, and team building skills are essential

Position Summary This Case Manager RN position is 100% remote and the employee can live in any state. Normal Working Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00am through 5:30pm in time zone of residence with an occasional late shift rotation per the needs of the business 11:30am-8pm EST No travel is expected with this position. The Case Manager RN utilizes a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual’s benefit plan and/or health needs through communication and available resources to promote optimal, cost-effective outcomes. The Case Manager RN process includes assessing the member's health status and care coordination needs, inpatient review, and discharge planning, developing, and implementing the case management plan, monitoring, and evaluating the plan and involving the Medical Director as indicated and closing the case as appropriate when the member has met discharge criteria. The Case Manager RN role requires a nurse that can exercise independent and sound judgment and someone that has strong decision-making skills and well-developed interpersonal skills. The Case Manager RN is expected to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate both effective organizational and time management skills as well demonstrate strong teamwork skills. The Transmission Strategy department is responsible for performing transmission system analysis to steer AES Clean Energy greenfield prospecting efforts and support the interconnection for our large utility-scale project portfolio. The Transmission Strategy department actively tracks and analyzes transmission systems not just as they exist today, but how they will exist in the future. The department is instrumental in the strategic siting efforts of the entire development platform. The position will be responsible to set up and run a variety of innovative, automated power flow studies using power flow and coding software. As an internal power flow study expert, this position will work with internal Strategic Development team, and external entities including Transmission Owners, ISO/RTO to review, analyze and replicate generator interconnection study results. The person could be based in one of our EAST region offices or work remotely. Some travel will be required (~10%). Principal Duties and Responsibilities: In partnership with internal stakeholders, lead to the successful execution of both new and acquired projects across the United States. - Analyze transmission grid to identify new opportunities for interconnecting renewable energy projects (i.e. solar, storage, wind). - Spearhead power flow analysis such as First Contingency Incremental Transfer Capability (FCITC), injection analysis, replicating key market and region deliverability studies. - Ability to set up and conduct automated power flow analysis using Python, or other scripting languages to expedite the analysis process. - Perform injection studies to identify the optimal interconnection locations for the placement of generator resources across the targeted study/focus region. - Actively track and participate in regions Transmission Planning Process, and advocate for AES clean energy portfolio to be included in Long Term Planning process. - Experience personally running nodal production modeling (i.e., PROMOD, UPLAN, GE MAPS, Aurora), and evaluating dispatch trends, curtailment trends and locational marginal pricing trends. - Obtain, update, and maintain regional power flow base cases with changes in resource mix and transmission topology based on ISO/RTO regional plans. - Remain up to date on all relevant new and upcoming technologies and knowledge to model them as per regions generator interconnection study criteria. - Perform network upgrade cost estimate allocation for the proposed projects, based upon applicable tariff. - Verify and challenge study results. Perform multiple scenario sensitivity analysis based on future queue projections and retirements. - Perform study review and provide technical insight and decision on acquisition generator projects. - Strong knowledge of market efficiency analysis and identifying least congestion transmission points in the grid for delivery of power for PPA. - Understand and gain proficiency in Transmission Providers’ tariff, business practices, interconnection standards, interconnection study practices, cost allocation methodologies, transmission planning standards, and transmission system performance evaluation criteria. Possess an understanding of regional transmission plans and operational practices. Minimum Qualifications: - BS in Electrical Engineering or related field. - 5 years of working experience in renewable or traditional energy development, or transmission planning with an emphasis on generator interconnection studies. - Proficiency in power flow software (TARA, PSS/E). - Ability to automate generator interconnection studies on an interconnection wide basis. - Extensive knowledge of PJM Regional Transmission Expansion Plan (RTEP), Long Term Transmission Planning Process and modeling methodology. - Extensive knowledge of PJM Generator Interconnection study methodology. Desired Skills and Expertise: - MS in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Familiarity with transmission systems and expansion plans, and generator interconnection study methodologies in MISO, NYISO and other affected systems. - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously to meet project schedules.
