Job Description General Education High focuses on K12-powered virtual high schools with 9-12 programs offering core, comprehensive, credit recovery, honors, and Advanced Placement online courses and a wide variety of electives. Responsible for relationship building with families, students, and learning coaches to ensures that all students are progressing successfully through the program. Bachelor’s degree, 0-1 year of related professional experience Required Certificates and Licenses: Missouri High School Science Teaching Certification Required - OR appropriate High School Science certification in another state with the ability to obtain MO licensure within 60 days of employment. Residency Requirements: Must reside in Missouri - This position is remote and strongly prefers candidates that reside in Missouri. May consider candidates that reside in surrounding states. The High School Science Teacher is a highly qualified, state certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system. They actively work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance each student’s learning toward established goals. Teachers typically work from home but must travel occasionally throughout the year to various school functions, such as state testing or as otherwise required by the school. Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. - Exempt (salary): We anticipate the salary range to be $48,752- $60.940. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
