Role Summary The Presales Architect – Cloud & Infrastructure is responsible for designing, validating, and positioning infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), and traditional on-premises data centers. The role supports the full presales lifecycle, working closely with sales, delivery, and partner teams to translate customer requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures, proposals, and statements of work. Key Responsibilities • Engage with sales teams and customers to understand business drivers and infrastructure requirements. • Lead technical discovery workshops, infrastructure assessments, and solution design sessions. • Design end-to-end architectures for Azure, AWS, hybrid, HCI, and on-prem environments. • Define migration, modernization, and transformation strategies. • Develop solution documentation including architectures, SOWs, BOMs, and RFP/RFI responses. • Present technical solutions to IT managers, infrastructure heads, and enterprise architects. • Ensure alignment between presales commitments and delivery execution. Technology Coverage • Microsoft Azure – IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, governance, landing zones. • Amazon Web Services (AWS) – core compute, storage, networking, foundations, migration. • Hybrid & On-Prem Infrastructure – data centers, virtualization, storage, networking. • HCI Platforms – VMware, Nutanix, Azure Local / Stack HCI. • Backup, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability solutions. Automation & Governance • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM, and Bicep. • CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments. • Cost optimization, monitoring, and operational governance. • Alignment with ITIL and managed services frameworks. Required Experience • 8–12+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or data center roles. • 4–6+ years in presales, consulting, or solution architecture roles. • Experience working with enterprise and regulated customers. • Experience in system integrator or managed services environments. Technical Skills • Strong design-level or hands-on expertise in Azure and AWS infrastructure services. • Deep understanding of hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure. • Solid knowledge of networking, identity, security, and monitoring. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Certifications (Preferred) • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional). • VMware, Nutanix, or HCI certifications. • ITIL Foundation. Soft Skills • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical audiences. • Commercial awareness and proposal-writing capability.
