Role Description We are looking for a proactive and highly capable Data Analyst to join our team at Tabeo. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping business performance as we continue to expand our product suite and grow revenue. You will join a small, high-impact data team, working across all areas of the business. This provides broad exposure and a high level of ownership, where you will lead analysis from initial exploration through to delivering clear, actionable insights that influence decision-making. Your work will span the full analytics lifecycle — including exploring data to identify opportunities, writing and optimising code, and communicating findings to stakeholders. You will be expected to prioritise effectively, focus on the most impactful problems, and translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive business outcomes. We value analysts who think beyond one-off analysis. You should be comfortable identifying opportunities to automate recurring tasks, improve data processes, and raise the overall quality and efficiency of analytics within the business. Responsibilities - Data Analysis & Insights - Extract, manipulate, and analyse data using advanced SQL, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. - Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights. - Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels. - Data Modelling & Pipeline Development - Build, maintain, and optimise dbt models and data pipelines to deliver reliable and reusable datasets. - Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve data processes. - Collaborate with the team to implement best practices for data modelling, testing, and workflow optimisation. - Reporting & Visualisation - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to track key business metrics and trends. - Ensure dashboards are accurate, insightful, and user-friendly for cross-functional teams. - Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with product, finance, and operations teams to define problems and deliver actionable insights. - Present findings persuasively to inform and influence business decisions and strategy. - Team Contribution - Share expertise and best practices to raise analytics standards across the team. - Help foster a high-performing, data-driven culture across the company. Qualifications - Strong experience writing advanced SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. - Hands-on experience with dbt for building, testing, and maintaining data models in a production environment. - Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for modelling and analysis. - Experience working with Python or R for data analysis, modelling, or automation. - Experience working with modern data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery) and version control (Git). - Ability to independently own and deliver analytical projects end-to-end, from problem definition through to insight delivery. - Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to identify key drivers and focus on high-impact problems. - Confident communicating insights to stakeholders of all levels and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations. - Experience in lending, payments, or fintech is highly desirable. - A degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, science, economics) or equivalent practical experience. The base pay range for this role is $30.43 – $45.50.
