Position Summary: Your Impact (Essential Duties): Provide executive oversight of complex client portfolios, including multi-entity groups, high-growth startups, and high-volume transactional operations Drive the strategic vision of the outsourced accounting practice, aligning team capabilities, technologies, and service offerings with evolving client needs and firm goals Guide client organizations through financial transformation initiatives, such as ERP implementations, process automation, shared services transitions, and IPO or transaction readiness Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to CFOs, founders, and executive teams, offering high-level financial guidance and support for strategic planning, fundraising, M&A, and risk mitigation Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial statements, internal dashboards, KPIs, and customized management reporting packages Lead the design and oversight of scalable financial processes, including month-end close cycles, internal controls, and workflow systems tailored to client environments Act as the firm’s technical lead on complex accounting matters, providing clear, GAAP-compliant guidance on issues such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and equity transactions Develop, maintain, and refine client service standards, documentation protocols, and workflow best practices to ensure high-quality outcomes at scale Maintain executive accountability for service delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction across a diverse and growing book of business Oversee the structuring and pricing of engagements, ensuring client value, profitability, and alignment with firm-wide margin targets Serve as the primary escalation point for both client concerns and internal challenges, resolving issues with professionalism and strategic foresight Foster deep, long-term client partnerships by proactively identifying risks and opportunities and offering value-added recommendations Lead, coach, and support accounting managers, seniors, and associates, including performance feedback, goal setting, and career pathing Promote a collaborative and accountable team culture, where high performance, professional development, and inclusion are priorities Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives with tax, advisory, and assurance leaders to deliver integrated, firmwide client solutions Champion process improvement and automation, including the adoption of cloud-based accounting systems, AI tools, and workflow optimizers Evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery, quality control, and team efficiency Contribute to internal firm strategy by participating in leadership meetings, resource planning, practice management, and talent acquisition Lead internal technical trainings and knowledge-sharing efforts to uplift team capabilities and stay ahead of regulatory and industry changes Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership   Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity Your Background: 10+ years of experience in general accounting CPA license or eligible (preferred) Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Expert-level knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting frameworks, and internal control design, with the ability to guide complex, judgment-based accounting matters across varied client industries and entity structures Demonstrated leadership in financial transformation, including experience architecting and executing scalable accounting systems, process automation, and ERP implementations to support high-growth, high-complexity environments Mastery of cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and related tools (e.g., Fathom, BILL, Jirav), with a focus on workflow optimization and reporting integration Proven success overseeing large, dynamic client portfolios, including multi-entity consolidations, international operations, and clients undergoing rapid growth or change Track record of developing leaders at all levels, including mentoring managers, supporting advancement, and cultivating a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-suite clients, investors, and internal stakeholders on financial and operational matters Strategic financial mindset, capable of translating financial data into actionable insights that support client decision-making, business strategy, and long-term goals Advanced project leadership and resource management skills, ensuring that multiple engagements are executed on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining a high standard of quality Proactive and analytical problem-solving orientation, with a history of identifying root causes, recommending improvements, and leading successful implementations of new processes or technologies Commercial acumen and business advisory skills, with the ability to evaluate client needs, recommend solutions, and contribute to service line growth and profitability Recognized thought leader and technical resource within the firm, staying current on
