Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer

Clario

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will own the mobile delivery pipeline for Clario's Android and iOS applications, covering the full lifecycle from commit to store, while extending into production reliability through SRE practices. You'll combine deep hands-on expertise with technical leadership, working closely with mobile engineers, QA, security, and product teams to optimize delivery and improve developer experience. What you'll be doing - Own the end-to-end mobile delivery pipeline, designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based) covering build, test, sign, and release stages for Android and iOS. - Drive release automation including versioning, code signing, provisioning profiles, certificates, and keystores through to App Store and Google Play submission. - Own secrets management across pipelines in line with security and compliance standards. - Define and enforce quality gates, integrating automated testing, coverage thresholds, and release criteria directly into pipeline stages. - Build and maintain synthetic monitors and alerting to proactively detect degradation in build systems, release pipelines, and production app health. - Optimize build performance and developer workflow to reduce cycle time and increase engineering throughput. - Grow team capability through hands-on coaching and clear documentation standards. - Evaluate and pilot AI-assisted tooling across the delivery pipeline, including automated code review, test generation, and anomaly detection in build and release systems. - Partner cross-functionally with mobile engineering, QA, security, and product to keep delivery practices aligned with team goals. What we're looking for - 4+ years in DevOps, release engineering, or build engineering, with meaningful time on mobile delivery (Android and/or iOS). - Hands-on experience building and maintaining GitLab CI pipelines (YAML-based) for mobile targets, covering build, test, sign, and release. - Experience with secrets management solutions (Vault, cloud-native secret managers, or equivalent). - Good scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar for automation and pipeline tooling. - Track record of driving technical decisions across team boundaries with clarity and buy-in. - Working knowledge of Docker, particularly in the context of containerized device testing and CI build environments. What would make you stand out - Experience with mobile signing infrastructure, provisioning profiles, certificates, and keystores, and the ability to troubleshoot Android and iOS build issues within a CI context. - Hands-on experience automating app store delivery through integrations with App Store Connect and Google Play Console, using tools such as Fastlane or native store APIs. - Familiarity with container orchestration and cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Helm, and service mesh concepts, with exposure to platforms such as AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GKE. The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description represent the major responsibilities of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as required. Clario reserves the right to amend or change this job description to meet the needs of Clario. This job description and any attachments do not constitute or represent a contract. The Department Head has the discretion to hire personnel with a combination of experience and education, which may vary from the above listed qualifications.
