About the Role iWorks Corporation is seeking an AI Application Developer Intern to join our Emerging Technology Team and contribute to Wingman, an internal AI initiative focused on developing intelligent assistant capabilities for enterprise and federal use cases. This internship offers hands-on experience building AI-powered web applications, integrating machine learning models, and developing modern full-stack solutions. Interns will collaborate with developers, engineers, and data scientists to create features that enhance chatbot functionality, improve user interaction, and support secure document processing. This role is ideal for students interested in AI applications, full-stack development, and emerging agentic AI systems. Hourly rate: $22.00 What You'll Work On: As an intern, you will contribute to the development of AI-powered applications while gaining exposure to modern software engineering practices. On a day-to-day basis you will: - Assist in developing web applications and AI interfaces using JavaScript, React, Python, and Node.js - Support the integration of AI/ML models into chatbot workflows - Help design and prototype user interfaces for AI-driven tools - Participate in full-stack development tasks, including backend services and APIs - Work with developers to integrate secure document handling workflows - Assist with cloud-based deployments and CI/CD pipelines - Participate in Agile team meetings and sprint planning - Research emerging AI technologies, including Agentic AI and AI assistants - Help test and improve system performance and usability Internship Learning Objectives: - AI-powered application development - Full-stack web development - Chatbot architecture and AI integration - Cloud deployment and DevOps workflows - Secure application development practices - Agile software development environments Required Qualifications & Education: - U.S. Citizenship - Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: - Computer Science - Software Engineering - Artificial Intelligence - Data Science - or a related field Technical Foundations: - Basic familiarity with: - HTML, CSS, JavaScript - React or modern front-end frameworks - Python or Node.js - Building or contributing to web applications Please Note: We maintain an on-camera policy for all virtual company meetings to foster engagement and collaboration.
