Role Overview We’re looking for a Data Intelligence Specialist to build and own our data foundations from the ground up. This is a high-impact role where you’ll turn raw data into powerful insights, supporting everything from audience targeting and risk screening to commercial decision-making and business intelligence. If you love creating structure from complexity, building scalable pipelines, and helping teams make smarter decisions with data, this one’s for you. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes - Develop and optimise advanced SQL queries and data models - Ingest and manage data from multiple sources (APIs, files, databases) - Ensure data quality, validation, and governance across all datasets - Build clear segmentation logic to support targeting and risk analysis - Translate data into actionable insights that drive commercial decisions - Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports - Define and track KPIs, enabling teams to self-serve data confidently - Document data processes, lineage, and best practices - Continuously improve systems with a build–measure–iterate mindset
Job Requirements
- What we’re looking for
- Strong experience with SQL (advanced level) and Python for data (pandas, NumPy)
- Proven ability to build and manage data pipelines and workflows
- Experience with data modelling (star/snowflake schemas, SCDs, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data quality, testing, and governance principles
- Experience using Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
- Strong analytical mindset with knowledge of statistics and segmentation techniques
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
- Familiarity with tools like Git, CI pipelines, and cloud platforms (nice to have)
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently

Role Description BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AI, Data Engineering, and Digital Engineering Support Professional to join our team, providing technical support in support of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center Facility Engineering Standards and Evaluation Branch (AFCEC/CFPT) located at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Lackland, TX. All AI-enabled services shall be performed in compliance with DoD, DAF, and AFCEC cybersecurity, data governance, and Responsible AI (RAI) policies. - Provide AI-Enabled CMIS Project Management Support. - Apply AI-enabled analytics to evaluate CMIS data for trends in cost, schedule, and performance. - Develop predictive models to identify project risks, delays, and cost growth. - Support integration of CMIS data with DISDI, GeoBase, and Kahua. - Develop automation tools to streamline workflows, reporting, and data validation. - Establish data standards to support AI-enabled CMIS operations. - Travel to various Air Force bases on temporary duty, as well as infrequent trips to HQ AFCEC for in-person meetings. Qualifications - U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required. - In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes, Department of the Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations. - Demonstrated technical expertise for criteria development and review including Engineering Technical Letters; UFC; UFGS; and AFI, pamphlets and handbooks. - Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. - Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously. Requirements - Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in applying AI, data engineering, and digital engineering to solve complex problems. Demonstrated experience in the full lifecycle of AI solution development, including prototyping, implementation, and maintenance of AI-powered tools and applications. - Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or Statistics is required.
