Job Description

Automation Architect (n8n | AI Systems | Client-Facing)

AI Acquisition

The Role's Mission We’re not looking for someone who “uses n8n.” We’re looking for someone who thinks in systems, breathes in workflows, and gets a little thrill when everything just… runs. If you’ve ever looked at a messy process and thought, "This could be automated in 3 nodes and a webhook," you’ll feel at home here. You’ll be the bridge between raw ideas and working automations and between non-technical founders and clean, scalable systems.   What You’ll Actually Do  Build Like a Pro - Architect, build, and optimize n8n workflows across sales, ops, onboarding, and internal systems - Turn chaotic processes into clean, reliable automations - Debug like a detective. Refactor like an artist. - Write and maintain JavaScript inside n8n without breaking things (most of the time) - Ensure workflows are scalable, documented, and reusable Talk Tech Without Sounding Like a Robot - Run live client sessions to troubleshoot, guide, and build in real time - Translate “I want this to work” into actual working automations - Explain complex systems in a way that doesn’t make people’s eyes glaze over - Be the calm voice when things break (because they will) Connect the Dots - Integrate n8n with: - CRMs, Airtable, Google Sheets - APIs, webhooks, databases, SaaS tools - Build flows for: - Data syncing - Trigger-based automations - Scheduled workflows - Data enrichment pipelines Think Beyond Tasks - Spot patterns in client problems and turn them into repeatable solutions - Improve templates, systems, and overall workflow architecture - Collaborate with delivery, ops, and consultants to level up everything You’ll Crush This Role If You… - Have serious hands-on n8n experience (non-negotiable) - Understand APIs, webhooks, and automation logic like second nature - Can write/debug JavaScript without panic-Googling every line - Have built workflows that actually survive in production - Are comfortable jumping between tools, systems, and edge cases Soft Skills That Actually Matter - You can run client calls without sounding unsure or overwhelmed - You explain things clearly, even to non-technical people - You stay composed when things break and fix them fast - You take ownership instead of waiting for instructions  Bonus Points If You… - Have worked with Airtable, CRMs, or data-heavy systems - Have played around with AI or LLM integrations - Have experience in consulting, solutions engineering, or tech support - Have supported founders or fast-moving teams  The Vibe This isn’t a “ticket-based” role. This is a figure-it-out, build-it, make-it-work kind of environment. You’ll thrive here if you: - Like solving problems no one has documented yet - Enjoy both deep work and human interaction - Take pride in systems that just work About AI Acquisition - AI Acquisition is a global AI consulting and enablement platform helping founders, agencies, and businesses design, launch, and scale AI-powered services. We operate a hybrid model combining Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), consulting, and execution—supporting clients across the US and globally. - Our work goes beyond tooling. We help clients design systems, implement automation, and operate scalable workflows across sales, marketing, operations, and delivery—using AI, APIs, and modern automation stacks. Why Join AI Acquisition? - Work hands-on with real client systems, not internal-only tooling - Build production-grade n8n workflows used daily by founders and operators - Be client-facing: influence outcomes, not just infrastructure - Operate in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment - Expand your skills across automation, APIs, AI, and solution design This is not a back-office automation role. You will be building, explaining, troubleshooting, and evolving systems with clients live.
