By connecting AI, services, and financial applications, the organization designs intent-driven liquidity layers where smart contracts, AI agents, and blockchain networks synchronize in real-time. With deep expertise in AI, cryptography, and decentralized finance (DeFi), the team is redefining how intelligent agents interact across global networks. The organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the improvement and maintenance of innovative decentralized applications (DApps) within the NEAR ecosystem. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is motivated by the prospect of building ground-up solutions at an early project stage. The position focuses on developing a high-performance frontend and an SDK for a cross-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) utilizing multi-party computation, chain signatures, secure enclaves, and intent-based architecture. A primary goal of this role is to bridge the gaps between EVM and non-EVM chains, requiring a profound understanding of Web3 technologies. Job Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 10+ years of experience as a software engineer with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products.
  • Web3 Expertise: Deep familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies, specifically the ability to bridge EVM and non-EVM ecosystems.
  • Design & UI/UX: A strong sense for design and UI/UX with the ability to code for multiple target form factors (mobile, tablet, desktop).
  • Product Delivery: Proven experience in building functional, effective, and production-grade platforms.
  • Technical Standards: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to writing clean, organized, and maintainable code.
  • Collaboration: The ability to effectively collaborate with coworkers across multiple time zones in a high-velocity startup environment.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Particular responsibilities include: developing, implementing and improving maintenance practices for electrical equipment; supporting expense & capital projects as an electrical subject matter expert; overseeing installation of low voltage and medium voltage Power Distribution Systems (grounding systems, transformers, UPS, motors and motor control centers; supporting electrical equipment testing & inspection; and managing electrical classification documentation (one line diagram, electrical area classification, arc flash, etc.); assisting the SCADA/Control System group on the specification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation, PLCs, and motor-operated valves. Candidate will work closely with Technical, Operations, Maintenance and Project Group personnel in the execution of these duties. This position will office at Equistar Pipeline’s Clear Lake, TX facility, but has responsibility for assets from Corpus Christi, TX to Lake Charles, LA. A Day in the Life • Function as the electrical technical lead for Pipeline maintenance and capital projects, including: o Providing electrical engineering calculations, design, and specifications o Reviewing design drawings and engineering specifications to ensure conformance with relevant company/industry standards and practices o Interact with engineers and construction contractors, both on-site and off-site, to ensure adequate design and proper installation o Ensuring Data Management Systems are updated accordingly (SAP, Documentum, Controlled Documents, etc.) • Support the operation and maintenance of electrical facilities at Equistar Pipeline sites o Systematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine asset maintenance strategies and task lists/work instructions o Utilize predictive condition monitoring and other non-destructive testing methodologies to proactively identify potential reliability issues o Apply value analysis to repair/replace/redesign decisions o Support maintenance technicians with Electrical, Instrumentation and some Analyzer troubleshooting. • Apply analysis techniques to identify, prioritize, and resolve leveraging electrical standards and procedures • Steward the development, implementation, and maintenance of Equistar Pipeline electrical and instrumentation standards and procedures • Optimize preventative maintenance practices, and co-lead Reliability Improvement Teams to improve system reliability. o Support the development of Obsolescence and Long-Range Plans, which include identification of Bad Actor equipment and development of mitigation plans o Create Management of Change documents and lead evaluations for electrical and instrumentation reliability initiatives • Consult, assist, and/or lead incident investigations and troubleshooting activities • Provide training to others on new and existing electrical and instrumentation technologies • Mentor less experienced engineers, and participate in LYB teams and networks You Bring This Value • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in Power Distribution within the pipeline and/or petrochemical industries required • Demonstrated working knowledge of: industry codes such as NEC, ANSI/IEEE, API, NFPA, IEC, and their application; low and medium voltage switchgear/MCC design and operation; motors; UPS systems, and electrical system studies using SKM Power Tools software • Experience conducting Arc Flash Studies and implementing required mitigation techniques • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting • Exhibit an understanding of business drivers, management of change requirements, reliability processes, and maintenance workflow • Self-directed with ability to work with minimal direct oversight; able to manage multiple/changing priorities • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills • Some travel is required for this position What We Offer LyondellBasell is proud to provide a competitive total compensation package designed to reward excellence and support the well-being of our employees.
