VDC, BIM Specialist
BK Medical
• Work with engineers and managers to produce LOD400 BIM for mechanical and plumbing systems. • Work with General Contractor and other subcontractors to achieve spatial coordination of all trades. • Attend weekly coordination meetings, either onsite or virtually, to achieve spatial coordination of all trades. • Generate RFI’s to be submitted to the design team when required. • Create detailed shop drawings for the purposes of fabrication and installation of associated trades. • Creation and annotation of shop drawings, hanger drawings, and sleeve drawings. • Creation and export of hanger and sleeve coordinates for field layout. • Communicate with field personnel to ensure that fabrication and installation intent is clearly communicated on drawings. • Mentor and train Junior VDC Specialists.
Job Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience with installation or 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP and Autodesk Navisworks.
- Knowledge of other BIM related software is a plus.
- A working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be proficient in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
- Communicate effectively oral and written communication.
- Learn and apply new information quickly and effectively.
