About the Role We're looking for a Product Manager to own the roadmap across three product lines: Marketing, Contacts, and Testimonials. You'll manage a team of experienced Product Owners, report to the Director of Product, and partner closely with engineering, design, sales, and leadership. This role sits at an important intersection. The POs on your team handle project execution and requirement translation — your job is to operate above that: setting product direction, making hard tradeoffs, and ensuring we're building toward revenue and margin outcomes, not just user requests. You'll need to be fluent in both the details and the strategy — comfortable writing a crisp product spec one day and presenting tradeoff logic to leadership the next. You'll be working in a lean, PE-owned environment where 'we can't build everything' is a given, and the job is to make smart calls about what we do build and why. Compensation This position offers $130,000-145,000 depending on experience, skills and qualifications. Primary Responsibilities & Expectations Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership - Own the product roadmap across Marketing, Contacts, and Testimonials balancing near-term revenue needs with long-term product bets - Make and communicate tradeoff decisions clearly, including when to say no - Translate business objectives from leadership into a coherent product vision your team can execute against - Identify opportunities through a commercial lens. Help us identify where can we expand revenue, improve retention, or protect margin Team Leadership - Manage and develop a team of Product Owners who are embedded with engineering and focused on sprint-level execution - Set context and direction. Ensure product and engineering teams have a well-defined roadmap to execute rapidly Cross-Functional Execution - Partner with engineering to scope and sequence work, manage dependencies, and protect team focus - Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand where product gaps are costing us deals or driving churn - Interface regularly with leadership on roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, and business impact. Surface solutions, not just problems - Coordinate with engineering and product leadership to unblock product teams Spec & Discovery Work - Write sharp, well-scoped product specs when the work requires it. You're not just managing POs, you're a practitioner - Conduct customer and market discovery to pressure-test assumptions What we’re looking for - 5–8 years of product or related experience in B2B SaaS; fintech or wealthtech experience strongly preferred - Founding or early-stage experience at a financial services or wealthtech startup is highly valued. We care more about what you've built and the judgment you've developed than the logos on your resume - Experience managing or mentoring other PMs or POs - Access to a private & secure workspace, free from distractions - Accessible during the assigned work schedule for regular duties and responsibilities as outlined by the supervisor - An internet connection with speeds of 5 Megabits down / 3 Megabits up (5mbps/3mbps) Skills and Qualifications - You know how to close the gap between great features and revenue drivers - You're a strong communicator who can adapt across audiences: engineering, sales, and the C-suite - You understand compliance-adjacent product environments or can ramp quickly on them - You're comfortable with ambiguity and can make a defensible call with incomplete information - You thrive in lean operating environments where you're expected to do more with less Nice to have - Familiarity with SEC and FINRA marketing regulations - Experience working with financial advisors, broker dealers or other financial institutions - Experience at a PE-backed company or in a high-accountability growth environment At FMG, we believe in the wholehearted acceptance of each other regardless of our differences. We strive to foster an environment that allows everyone to contribute to our mission in their unique ways. With the belief that diversity propels innovation, we are continually finding ways to cultivate a commitment to inclusion in our employees, services, and products, as well as in the communities in which we live and work. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunities regardless of sex, race, creed, color, gender, religion, marital status, domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, pregnancy, military or veteran status, and genetic information.
