Position Overview MetroSys is seeking a versatile Power BI Developer to support data visualization, reporting, and analytics initiatives. This role is primarily focused on building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports, while also contributing to broader data and development efforts as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the Microsoft data stack and is adaptable—able to step into adjacent responsibilities when project needs evolve. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. - Build and optimize data models, datasets, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Service. - Write and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. - Utilize SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Visual Studio for database development and report integration. - Work with Azure-based data services to support reporting and data pipeline needs. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable reporting solutions. - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting environments. - Support ad hoc data requests and assist with troubleshooting reporting or data-related issues. - Contribute to documentation, best practices, and process improvements. - Assist with related data, reporting, or light development tasks as needed. Required Qualifications - 3–6+ years of experience in data development, BI, or reporting roles. - Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modeling, report development). - Advanced proficiency in SQL (joins, CTEs, stored procedures, performance tuning). - Experience with SSMS and Visual Studio. - Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, or similar). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. - Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development. - Familiarity with other Microsoft tools (Power Automate, Power Apps). - Experience in a fast-paced or multi-project environment. - Exposure to cloud-based data architecture and modern BI practices.

• Own end-to-end financial analytics for the Consumer division, from business question scoping through modeling, analysis, and delivery. • Build and maintain complex financial and operational models primarily in Excel, serving as the foundation for decision-making. • Develop sales and marketing forecasts, including volume, conversion, and unit economics assumptions. • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reporting pipelines, with increasing use of Power BI. • Drive the annual budgeting process and create trackable frameworks to measure performance throughout the year. • Lead monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and provide clear, actionable commentary for leadership. • Translate complex analysis into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs. • Challenge and refine the requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives. • Perform thorough analysis of the client's database to assess the available data. • Conduct workshops with stakeholders to validate KPIs. • Define visualizations and the overall dashboard structure in Looker (using Miro or Figma). • Build or refine the data model to support Looker’s data exploration (using BigQuery and dbt). • Develop LookML models for transforming and structuring data. • Ensure flexibility for users to explore custom reports. • Focus on usability and clear data presentation. • Leverage AI-driven solutions to enhance user experience. • Write articles for platforms like Medium to share expertise, insights, and innovations.

• Architect, implement, and maintain last-mile data pipelines to ensure seamless extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from diverse sources into PowerBI, Power Automate, and Power Apps. • Create visually compelling and insightful dashboards and reports in PowerBI that provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization. • Design and build custom Power Automate/Power Apps solutions to address specific business needs, enhance user experience, and drive user adoption of data-driven applications. • Integrate machine learning models into data pipelines and frameworks, enabling predictive analytics and advanced insights. • Implement data quality checks and ensure adherence to data governance standards throughout the data pipeline, from source to visualization. • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, PowerBI reports, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps solutions to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability. • Provide training sessions and user support to help stakeholders effectively utilize BI tools and applications. • Address user feedback and iterate on solutions to improve usability and adoption. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business users, data engineers, and IT professionals, to understand requirements, gather feedback, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. • Document data pipelines, workflows, and applications, and share best practices and insights with team members to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
