Job Description

Financial Analyst

Murdock Martell

• Financial modeling and forecasting • Maintain and update the company’s financial model in Adaptive Insights • Own headcount planning for existing and planned roles • Maintain bookings data, customer revenue, and customer collections • Forecast vendor expenses, depreciation, and capital expenditures • Partner closely with cross functional teams to gather inputs and keep the model current as the business evolves • Monthly close and reporting • Update actuals in Adaptive once Accounting closes each month • Run and manage NetSuite integrations into Adaptive • Use reporting from Salesforce for detailed bookings data and contract tracking • Use ADP reporting for headcount and workforce related reporting • Troubleshoot integration or data issues as they arise • Review forecasts post close to ensure accuracy and reasonableness • Prepare monthly reporting packages for the CEO and COO, including performance versus plan and variance explanations • Provide quarterly budget versus actuals reports to departmental budget owners, including clear explanations of variances • Prepare financial slides and supporting analysis for the quarterly Board of Directors deck • Support quarterly reporting to external investors and the company’s bank to ensure ongoing compliance • Build scenario models to support leadership decision making • Create Excel based models to help leadership understand the financial implications of potential initiatives or changes

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
  • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience
  • 1+ years’ hands on experience with NetSuite and Adaptive required
  • 2+ years’ experience working for a SaaS company
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
