Job Description

Graphic Designer

Skift

• Lead the visual design of a diverse range of projects, including digital advertising, social media assets, editorial graphics, and event branding. • Operate with high velocity, taking responsibility for quickly iterating on designs based on real-time feedback. • Transform complex travel industry data and insights into clear, compelling visual narratives and infographics. • Take full ownership of design projects from concept to completion, working closely with the team to review and execute work. • Partner directly with the Editorial and Marketing teams to solve complex communication problems through strategic visuals. • Maintain and evolve the Skift visual identity system across all platforms and events, ensuring strict brand consistency while pushing the boundaries of brand perception in the market.

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within a fast-paced media, agency, or tech environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Bonus: Experience with motion graphics (After Effects) or advanced data visualization is a significant plus.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating not just beautiful design, but strategic thinking and the ability to solve complex communication problems through visuals.
  • Agility and resilience, with a proven ability to thrive in an environment where priorities shift quickly and rapid execution is the standard.
  • Strong communication skills, allowing you to articulate design choices clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
