Job Description
Product Manager
Science Exchange
• Own the product backlog end-to-end: write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prepare clean, ready-to-build tickets for each sprint. • Run core product rituals — standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retros — ensuring they are efficient, organized, and outcomes-focused. • Become a product expert: deeply understand workflows, data flows, dependencies, and edge cases to anticipate issues before they hit engineering. • Track and report key delivery metrics (e.g., rollover, cycle time, velocity, defects) to identify bottlenecks and improve team efficiency. • Analyze product usage and operational metrics to spot issues, monitor trends, and identify opportunities for improvement. • Manage the bug backlog with precision — triage issues quickly, prioritize ruthlessly, and ensure high-impact bugs are addressed. • Partner with QA to validate features, confirm acceptance criteria, and uphold product quality standards. • Collaborate closely with the Product Operations / Release Manager to ensure full clarity on what is being delivered each sprint and release. • Work with Design, Customer Success, and Implementation to gather requirements, clarify intent, and translate feedback into actionable improvements.

- Metrics-driven mindset with the ability to interpret data and use it to improve product and process outcomes.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, surface risks early, and keep the team unblocked.
