DevOps Engineer, Systems Engineer
TWT Group
• Set up and ensure the smooth operation of web and e-commerce applications in our private and public cloud infrastructures. • Monitor, maintain and automate modern web applications and services, including their administration, configuration and monitoring. • Further develop and operate virtualization and container environments and evaluate new technologies, including planning system changes. • Work closely with our software development and interdisciplinary teams.
Job Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a degree in IT, with strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows environments.
- Solid understanding of redundancy, monitoring and automation concepts, and very good knowledge of HTTP, TLS, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, WAFs, proxies and CDNs.
- Practical experience configuring and operating several of the following products: Apache, nginx, IIS, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Tomcat, PHP, ASP.NET, Solr, Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch (Elastic), VMware, Hyper‑V, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus or Ansible.
- Experience configuring and operating hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, as well as experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python or shell scripting.
- Ability to read and understand code in languages such as Java, C# or PHP, combined with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Certifications in relevant product areas or ITIL knowledge are a plus.

• Design, develop, implement, and support infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools. • Provide operational support for global DevOps platforms and self-service automation, ensuring availability and performance. • Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls, including OS hardening, patching, and secure configurations. • Identify manual operational processes and develop automation solutions, maintaining and refactoring existing code. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, adhere to change management and coding standards, and produce clear documentation to support alignment and knowledge sharing. • Ensure availability and reliability of production servers and applications by participating in on-call rotations.
