• Generate comprehensive design packages, including accurate floor plans, 3D renderings, and space plans using CET Designer, Revit, and AutoCAD • Translate complex dealer data into precise design solutions specifically tailored for VA and government healthcare environments • Manage technical documentation, including installation drawings, finish boards, typicals, and detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) • Ensure strict adherence to government procurement standards and GSA-approved product guidelines • Develop independent product specifications by mastering manufacturer catalogs and ensuring 100% accuracy in ProjectSpec • Collaborate with furniture dealers to align product lines with client needs while maintaining compliance • Partner with Sales and Project Management to optimize layouts, propose value-engineered alternatives, and meet budget constraints • Problem-solve design challenges related to ergonomics, systems furniture, and specialized healthcare requirements • Maintain rigorous version control and organized project files to ensure quality standards across multiple active workflows
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related field
- Proven design experience within a furniture dealership; background in government or healthcare environments is highly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in CET Designer, Revit, and AutoCAD
- Hands-on experience with ProjectSpec is strongly preferred and qualifies for bonus compensation
- Deep understanding of commercial furniture systems, finishes, space planning standards, and installation requirements
- Highly creative problem-solver with the ability to work independently and manage a remote workflow effectively
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:**
