• Design, implement, and maintain software components and services within existing systems • Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making under the guidance of the Lead Engineer • Develop and maintain code using languages and frameworks appropriate to the project, including compiled and managed languages • Work effectively with client-server workflows and networked systems • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and production issues, including participation in an on-call rotation • Maintain and improve legacy systems while contributing to new development • Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards • Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes • Manage assigned work independently, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines

• Manage, administer, and implement engineering best practices for Allstate’s on premises S3 object storage infrastructure. • Engage with internal business functions and various application support teams. • Automate storage administration and management as needed. • Build long-term relationships within the team by creating an environment of safety, innovation, integrity, and honest communication. • Design/create/automate S3 storage solutions to meet business unit requirements. • Monitor on-premises S3 storage usage and assist with capacity management.

• Build and maintain the platform that supports the money movement of our industry-leading payment engine moving hundreds of millions everyday. • Design new functionalities and improve current capabilities to enhance speed, cost and scalability. • Ensure high-quality code in a team-defined timeframe. • Write clean, high quality, testable, secure, maintainable and extendable code. • Solve challenging bugs and production issues within the development environment. • Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors. • Understand scalability and performance status and improve scalability. • Drive change and improvement in all phases of the development lifecycle. • Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders and teams across engineering, product and design.
