Software Engineer, Backend-leaning

• Ship production-grade backend and frontend features for core member and provider flows using React, TypeScript, APIs, and data layers, with high polish and reliability. • Own features end-to-end: spec → build → test → deploy → monitor, including handling complex state, permissions, and edge cases. • Build and maintain robust system hygiene: instrumentation, dashboards and alerts, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and production debugging. • Design, implement, and maintain AI-powered workflows, including: - Tool/function calling - Structured outputs - Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) - Evals, tracing, and observability (e.g., LangSmith, Helicone) - Prompt versioning and guardrails • Build and operate workflow / agent “flows” using orchestration patterns similar to Temporal, Dagster, or Airflow, including retries, idempotency, async job queues, and failure handling. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-centric healthcare products.

Job Requirements

  • Strong experience building consumer-grade backend applications
  • Advanced proficiency with React and TypeScript
  • Experience building and maintaining backend APIs and data flows
  • Proven ability to own features end-to-end in production environments
  • Strong understanding of systems reliability, observability, and operational debugging
  • Experience working with modern LLM tooling, including:
  • Tool/function calling
  • RAG architectures
  • Structured outputs
  • Tracing, evals, and observability
  • Comfort working with asynchronous systems, job queues, retries, and orchestration patterns
  • Strong product mindset and ability to balance speed, quality, and real-world impact.
