Job Description
Data Quality Analyst
DLG (Digital Luxury Group)
• Conduct deep-dive investigations into new data sources to understand the "real-world" baseline and the business logic behind the data • Perform initial rounds of raw data validation against the source of truth for every new data source integrated into the platform • Ensure that the transition from "raw data" to "platform insight" maintains absolute integrity • Translate manual findings into automated solutions • Design and implement Python scripts, SQL automation rules, and proactive alerts • Build and maintain data health dashboards (Looker Studio/BigQuery) to identify anomalies before they reach the client • Develop continuous monitoring mechanisms to track data freshness, volume, and distribution • Act as the primary point of contact for Data Quality incidents reported by internal teams or external users • Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) to determine if issues stem from the raw source, ingestion pipelines, or processing logic • Collaborate with Data Engineers to resolve bugs and verify fixes, ensuring the data is corrected and re-processed accurately
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years in Data Quality, Data Operations, or Data Engineering
- Proficiency in SQL (complex joins/audits) and Python (for automation)
- Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
- Comfortable with meticulous, detailed manual work and technical drive to automate repetitive tasks
- Ability to clearly explain a complex data issue to an engineer and its business impact to a stakeholder
- Keen eye for detail; able to notice anomalies that others miss
- Nice to have: Experience with data quality tools (Great Expectations, dbt tests, Soda, or similar)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker Studio or similar)
- Experience validating data from external APIs and web scrapers
- Experience in Luxury industry (watches, jewelry, or fashion)
- Familiarity with e-commerce and social media datasets
