• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and all relevant regulatory requirements. • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports for internal leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders. • Support the VP Finance on statutory filings and maintain strong communication with regulatory authorities and external auditors. • Manage end-to-end financial operations, including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. • Implement, maintain, and enhance internal financial controls and procedures. • Be responsible for preparations for annual audits. • Prepare and file accurate tax returns in compliance with Dutch tax laws. • Partner with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities. • Serve as the functional lead for our migration from Exact Online to a new, scalable ERP system. • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple systems and platforms. • Partner with our IT team to implement "Automation First" workflows, reducing manual entry through API integrations for bank feeds, expenses, and AP/AR. • Provide financial insights, scenario analyses, and data-driven recommendations to VPs and managers. • Act as a trusted advisor during our scale-up phase, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

• Independently manage full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks Online • Maintain clean, accurate, audit-ready financial records • Oversee accruals, sales tax filings, and tip accounting • Prepare and review monthly financial statements: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow • Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues • Clean up and restructure books where necessary • Ensure financial reporting supports scalability and operational insight • Support multi-location restaurant and franchise clients • Manage restaurant-specific accounting complexities • Understand restaurant workflows, POS systems, and operational terminology • Support migration from QuickBooks Online to Restaurant365 • Learn and become proficient in R365 (training provided) • Assist in data cleanup, system configuration, and reporting optimization • Contribute to building scalable accounting systems • Develop and document accounting workflows and SOPs • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements • Evaluate automation tools and integrations within the accounting tech stack • Collaborate directly with U.S.-based leadership and accounting team members.

• Lead the accounting team to maintain Compassion's general ledger • Provide financial advice and answer internal financial questions • Conduct accounting research and analysis • Review and interpret historical transactional activity • Complete month-end and year-end close process • Manage department resources to achieve operational priorities
