• Work in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and data to implement full stack user facing features on at the core of Rocket Money • Develop with TypeScript across the stack, building user interfaces using React[-Native] and the backend support required to power them with Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL • Own complex features end-to-end, from initial product & technical design stages through to production, ensuring the appropriate engineering rigor has been applied for scalability, reliability, and observability • Help to maintain our high technical bar, participating in code reviews and design discussions to ensure that we're applying appropriate rigor to our software development process • Support a collaborative and innovative culture by sharing your ideas via RFCs, participating in solution ideation, and giving your peers evaluating feedback on their code and their proposals

• Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend). • 30% of the time spent doing management work. Outside of that actively participates in product development in their team. • Be involved in hiring processes for their own team and potentially help out their peers. • In addition to being involved in hiring, also being responsible for the onboarding process of new engineers. • By being the spokesperson for everyone in their team they are expected to manage the team dynamics and bring out the best in them. • Giving continuous and constructive feedback on all the things. • Helps the team to grow continuously as a group and is responsible for each direct report’s career. • Provide guidance and coaching to the team.

• Within your first six months, partner with Product to improve platform reliability and reduce support load by addressing peak-usage bottlenecks and reworking enrollment, authentication, rostering, and licensing infrastructure. • Own end-to-end system architecture and technical roadmap for CDI’s product suite: application, data flows, integrations, and infrastructure. • Contribute hands-on to front-end and back-end code to unblock delivery, lead critical implementations, and resolve production issues. • Drive and operate CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability/monitoring, and alerting. • Establish and cultivate engineering best practices (code review, branching, documentation, security)—providing technical oversight of our agency partner and mentoring incoming junior engineers as the team scales. • Partner closely with Product, Research, and Implementation to translate CDI’s evidence-based curricula into scalable, usable digital experiences. • Ensure secure and privacy-conscious handling of user and institutional data; work with Product and Operations to align on compliance and data policies. • Communicate technical choices and tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
