Systems Engineer

• Maintain IT systems management tools used by the team. • Create and roll out new technical solutions through the dev/qa/prod pipeline. • Remediate and mitigate vulnerabilities in a variety of technical products. • Communicate with third party technical support if needed. • Work with other team members as an on-call engineer 24/7 based on the flexible schedule. • Take part in NOC monitoring shifts daily. • Automate the tasks. • You will document all changes within our Change Management process and Confluence. • Track projects in Jira. • You will undergo regular security training. • Implement comprehensive automation strategies across various IT processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual tasks. • Automate system management tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, and Python. • Identify opportunities for automation in existing workflows to improve operational efficiency. • Working hours are 9am-6pm local time, Monday to Friday. On-call shifts covering weekends may also be required.

Job Requirements

  • C1 level English or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as a systems engineer with strong automation skills.
  • Good knowledge of server platforms: Microsoft Windows and Linux.
  • Proficient in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server maintenance and backup strategies.
  • Familiarity with Exchange on-premises and Office 365.
  • Understanding of monitoring systems (e.g., SCOM, Prometheus).
  • Ansible scripting for system management automation.
  • Expertise in open-source backup tools.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with Windows Failover Clustering.
  • Some experience with Amazon Web Services: EC2, IAM, Config, CloudWatch, CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with Citrix XenApp (Citrix Virtual Apps) for delivering remote applications.
  • Experience in managing remote application delivery to users via Citrix XenApp, ensuring secure access to centralized applications from various devices.
  • Understanding of application publishing, user access management, and optimizing performance for remote app users.
  • Experience with Git, TFS, and version-controlled configurations.

Benefits

  • Compensation: USD $4,000–$5,500/month.
  • Schedule: Fixed 9-hour shift (incl. lunch) between 8:00–20:00 EST, Mon–Fri.
  • On-call rotation: ~1 week every 3 months.
  • Holidays: US market holidays observed.
