Job Description
Sales Director, Spotter Hardware
Sofar Ocean
• Responsible for executing Sofar’s GTM strategy for hardware and services sales • Source and win smaller, transactional sales for customer success • Collaborate with internal teams to target and win larger opportunities • Provide feedback to inform product roadmap • Devise demand generation campaigns with marketing • Lead the sales process: prospecting, qualification, proposals, negotiation, and closure • Understand client needs and position Spotter’s value proposition • Manage channel sales partners in new regions • Represent Sofar at industry events
Job Requirements
- 6+ year history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets in a technical hardware sales role
- Familiarity with scientific instrumentation from a previous sales role or field experience
- Demonstrated ability to grow and manage a sales pipeline of both transactional and complex sales
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend events
