Staff Mechanical Engineer

Celestica

• Develops new mechanical systems/modules and maintains existing designs • Research mechanical concepts and create system solutions using 3D modeling and simulation software • Complete calculations and test, validate, and qualify their systems • Provide support throughout the manufacturing process of the mechanical system • Work with cross functional teams of other engineers, customers, supply chain and project leadership • Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Min. 10+ years of direct working experience in mechanical design
  • Familiar with electronic product development process
  • Ability to conceptualize, implement and validate a system level design and solution
  • Product architecture experience including high level thermal analysis, EMC/ESD compliance, structural layout, plan of verification/validation test
  • Experience of design optimization based on FEA and CFD analysis results is a PLUS
  • Proficient in using the CAD system, Pro/E Cero is required
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
