Principal Engineer – Platform
Empower
• Participate in developing and executing technology strategy for the Innovation Lab • Collaborate to design, implement, and maintain scalable platform solutions • Drive development of technologies and frameworks to enhance platform architecture • Ensure seamless integration of systems and performance optimization • Identify and address bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues • Improve development processes and tools fostering innovation and efficiency • Work with DevOps and engineers to automate operational processes • Stay current with industry trends for potential application enhancement • Provide mentorship and knowledge-sharing within the team • Create technical documentation for clarity
Job Requirements
- 12+ years in software systems development and delivery
- 7+ years of experience in solution architecture
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role
- Strong expertise in platform architectures
- Proficient in Java, microservices, containerization
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code principles
- Familiarity with security best practices
- Proven experience in the financial industry
