Staff Software Developer
Loopio
• Lead the development of end-to-end features for Loopio’s web platform • Drive architectural decisions and system-level designs across teams • Build technology for bug prevention in software • Gather user feedback for creating a user-centric experience • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to iterate on features • Mentor and coach teammates to foster knowledge-sharing • Contribute to AI roadmap with evaluation of third-party models and technical guidelines • Lead technical design discussions and influence decision-making
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Proven track record of designing and delivering complex software systems at scale
- Strong experience in backend/API development using PHP, Python, or Java
- Experience in frontend development with knowledge of React and JavaScript
- Strong understanding of database design and RDBMS such as MySQL
- Proficient in using and designing RESTful APIs
- Mentorship skills with experience in technical guidance, coaching, design, and code reviews
- Familiarity with AI technologies, including LLMs and integration with AI APIs
- Comfortable facilitating technical discussions and decision-making
- Experience in Typescript, AWS, Cypress, Elasticsearch is a plus

• Architect and evolve core backend systems—event ingestion, real-time risk evaluation, semantic search, and investigation-grade querying. • Design and optimize streaming data pipelines using Kafka, Redpanda, or similar technologies to support high-throughput, low-latency processing of LLM interactions. • Define and refine data models and schemas across structured (Postgres), analytical (ClickHouse), unstructured (S3), and vector (Qdrant) storage layers. • Identify architectural weaknesses and performance bottlenecks across ingest, indexing, and query layers; lead improvements to support scalability, correctness, and observability. • Implement data ingestion and transformation frameworks that support policy evaluation, semantic analysis, and dynamic response. • Optimize query performance, storage efficiency, and retrieval accuracy to support deep investigation and real-time enforcement. • Build and maintain backend APIs, monitoring infrastructure, and policy enforcement workflows that underpin the ThirdLaw platform.
