Job Description Pershing, LLC seeks Vice President, Mainframe Engineer II in Lake Mary, FL, to consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Provide application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. Responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Knowledgeable of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conduct reviews of the test Plan and test Data. Coordinate work within a team/project. Leads the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation. Program well-designed, testable, efficient code. Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites. Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Participate in code reviews. Integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Apply security and privacy principles. Execute full lifecycle software development. Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Ensure software is updated with latest features. Participate in deployment process following all change controls. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Use learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete both recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans. Leverage existing products/functionality and promote reuse. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation in the financial services industry. Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Utilizing mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS and MQ including capability of designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications and systems; Utilizing IntelliJ, insomnia, swagger, maven, IBM IDZ, CTRLM, Log4j, insync, Apptune, slf4j, JUnit, and TestNG for building, logging, and testing; Handling modern application development using Core Java, Spring Boot, Data Access Object, MVC architecture and J2EE framework; Developing APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to expose mainframe functionalities for integration with modern application and systems with user interface (UI), enabling seamless data exchange and interoperability in a hybrid IT environment; Utilizing DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for modernized mainframe applications, ensuring faster and reliable software delivery; Utilizing Jira workflows to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and deliver incremental value in mainframe modernization projects; and Working with product and business teams to drive requirements gathering and developing innovative solutions for complex business problems. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $157,750.00 - $178,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. The Role The Vice President, Product Fabric Services will be responsible for the product vision, strategy, and lifecycle management of the products across our Fabric Services portfolio.
