• Responsible for developing preliminary designs and specifications for engineering and materials, while preparing project cost estimates. • Conducting research, feasibility studies, and economic studies to ensure the design is both viable and cost-effective. • Determining design criteria based on required standards and codes, and validating field work, creating as-built drawings to document the final outcome. • Reviewing and checking engineering projects for accuracy and soundness and managing project execution by guiding vendors and contractors. • Coordinating project schedules with plant personnel, vendors, and contractors, ensuring alignment with management and engineering teams to successfully implement plans. • Accountable for coordinating and providing direction to equipment vendors to plan layouts, ensure utility requirements are met, and maintain installation schedules. • Conducting engineering planning, design, and operational reviews during pre-project studies to assess feasibility and ensure alignment with project goals. • Responsible for contract administration, including reviewing bid packages to ensure compliance and completeness.

• Partner closely with the product team and stakeholders to break down, scope, and oversee the delivery of technical projects, ensuring well-built, scalable solutions for clinical staff, patients, and families. • Oversee the design and development of maintainable, scalable software systems that are thoroughly tested, documented, and monitored. • Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through constructive feedback and teaching best practices. • Work with internal product and design teams to translate business needs into practical, high-impact technology solutions. • Supervise the creation and management of robust integrations between InStride and third-party systems. • Partner with support teams to diagnose and resolve production issues quickly, ensuring reliable service for patients and their families. • Act as a creative, agile leader who drives the team to push new features and code every iteration.

Identify tradeoffs early and manage scope, risk, and timelines. • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Drive pragmatic system design for product-layer services and workflows, ensuring scalability, performance, and consistency with Runpod’s platform. • Build and Grow a Strong Team: Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; set expectations, provide feedback, and create a culture of ownership, speed, and craft in a remote-first environment. • Quality & Reliability for Product Surfaces: Improve automated testing, release safety, observability for customer-facing systems, and regression prevention. Ensure on-call health for your team’s services. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner tightly with Product, Program management, Support, GTM, and Infrastructure counterparts. Coordinate dependencies cleanly while maintaining clear ownership. • Operational Excellence: Establish team rituals and delivery systems (sprints/kanban, retros, design reviews).
