Role Description Ontra is seeking a Principal Product Manager reporting to our Senior Director, Product. We’re looking for someone excited to drive product innovation, validate market opportunities, nurture new product ideas, and lead successful launches that will expand our product surface and enhance customer value. This role sits at the cutting edge of AI, developing and deploying AI agents in novel ways to solve complex problems in private markets and legal tech. This is not a business as usual PM role. What You’ll Do - Customer Discovery: Engage in conversations with customers to understand their needs and challenges, and generate potential product ideas that address those needs. - Prototyping Ideas: Develop prototypes and create pitches to present and test these product ideas with customers, gathering valuable feedback. - Collaborative Development: Work in collaboration with engineering and UX teams to code and incubate product ideas, transforming them into viable software solutions. - Data Analysis: Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to assess the impact of products and evaluate the outcomes of various experiments to guide future strategies. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to coordinate customer communications and launch plans effectively. - Industry Research: Continuously monitor industry trends and integrate these insights into product development strategies to ensure Ontra remains competitive and innovative. Qualifications - 7+ years in product management, demonstrating a solid foundation in driving product success. - Proven experience in developing and executing product strategy to guide product vision and growth. - Strong technical aptitude with deep experience in AI development, enabling informed decision-making in tech-driven environments. - Demonstrated ability to successfully launch new products, ensuring market readiness and customer satisfaction. Pay Transparency Ontra takes individual candidate location, experience, and skills into consideration when determining compensation. The base pay range is listed below. The role will oversee cross-functional planning and execution across App Experience, Platform Services, Engineering, Design, QA, Program Management, and Release Operations, ensuring platform readiness and delivery excellence across Mobile platforms. This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role that requires strong technical acumen, delivery discipline, and the ability to harmonize product, design, and engineering strategies into cohesive, system-led releases. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership & Platform Oversight - Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for NBA’s mobile platforms. - Collaborate with a team of Platform Product Managers responsible for mobile-specific execution (i.e., iOS & Android). - Partner with key stakeholders to define system-driven solutions that enable scalable content, personalization, and performance improvements. - Serve as the primary key point of contact for mobile platform delivery excellence ensuring stability, feature parity, and release management. 2. Planning & Prioritization (Program Increment Alignment) - Participate in quarterly PI Planning for mobile platforms in collaboration with App Experience, Platform Services, PMO, and Engineering. - Define cross-platform dependencies, sequencing, and feasibility to ensure predictable delivery of velocity. - Translate business priorities into system-level requirements across backend services, APIs, and SDKs. - Drive stack ranking and trade-off decisions to balance innovation, performance, and technical debt reduction. 3.
