Description This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Austin, Detroit, Milford or Mountain View], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. The Role As a BI Engineer within the MAS Marketing Insights & Data Democratization team, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable business intelligence solutions that power media performance insights across GM's marketing ecosystem. Your work will directly enable media optimization, campaign measurement, and cross-channel attribution by transforming complex data into actionable intelligence. You will collaborate with Media One, MarTech, EDAI, and external partners (Google, Meta, Amazon) to build and enhance dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data pipelines that support standardized and ad hoc media analytics. What You'll Do - Lead development and automation of Power BI dashboards for media performance across channels (Display, Search, Social, Video) and integrate site engagement metrics for holistic reporting. - Support campaign-level reporting, closed-loop attribution, and ROI analysis for paid media investments. - Connect data from Adobe RTCDP, AAM, ad servers, DSPs, and MarTech platforms to enable real-time analytics and audience segmentation. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define taxonomy, enforce naming conventions, and ensure data governance compliance - Partner with MAS Performance Analytics Squads to deliver in-market media insights and inform brand-level investment decisions. - Ensure integrity across media data pipelines, troubleshoot discrepancies, and optimize ETL processes for Azure-based environments. - Support migration efforts (e.g., OnPrem to Azure) and evolve Gold Layer structures for media reporting. - Train business partners on media analytics methodologies, reporting tools, and best practices. - Prepare documentation and analytical reports that summarize media performance trends, assumptions, and recommendations. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field. - 3 - 5+ years of experience in BI engineering, preferably in media analytics or digital marketing performance domains. - Expertise in Power BI and advanced Excel; familiarity with Tableau and other BI tools. - Strong SQL skills (Teradata, Oracle PL/SQL) for complex media data queries. - Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), WebSDK, CJA, RTCDP, and ad tech integrations. - Understanding of media measurement frameworks, attribution modeling, and digital consumer journey analytics. - Familiarity with Azure cloud environments and data governance practices. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Compensation: - The expected base compensation for this role is: $83,800 - $136,200.
