Job Description: Position Summary: Peer Support Network student mentors provide guidance, feedback, and support to mentees, serving variously as role models, coaches, and allies. Student mentors will report to the Associate Dean of Student Success. Principal Duties: - Participate in professional learning, including completing a course emphasizing mentoring knowledge and skills. - Provide a positive source of support to first year law students. - Support mentees in identifying and implementing effective: - Case reading and briefing strategies - Course outlining strategies - Exam preparation strategies - Priority management strategies - Study plans and strategies - Guide mentees in identifying and using appropriate resources. - Commit to meeting with the mentee on a regular basis. - Attend meetings and establish consistent office hours. - Maintain a solutions-oriented approach to challenges and problem-solving. - Maintain confidentiality. - Perform related duties as assigned. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Ability to interface professionally with administration, faculty, and students; works collaboratively with others. - Ability to develop rapport, trust, and confidence with mentees and provide support in a professional and respectful manner. - Significant interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. - Ability to efficiently and thoroughly complete tasks in a timely manner. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Develop, implement, and track community outreach initiatives designed to increase MCO membership and trust; manage external experiential marketing agency. • Build and maintain partnerships with local healthcare providers, community leaders, nonprofits, and government agencies. • Identify key community organizations and coordinates outreach and event planning to promote organizational presence within the community. • Plan and execute community events, workshops, and marketing campaigns to promote health literacy and MCO services. • Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive community relations activities to promote membership growth and retention. • Monitor, analyze, and report on outreach activities and community needs, making data-driven recommendations to improve engagement. • Oversee, train, and support a team of six Outreach Coordinators to meet enrollment goals, increase brand awareness and ensure high-quality service. • Manage operational aspects of the team (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), and implement workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
