Job Requirements
- Accredited APSCA CSCA Auditor (m/f/d/x)
- Degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in social audits
- Certification or experience with SEDEX SMETA, BSCI, RBA, or similar
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, be a team player, and act responsibly
- Customer- and service-oriented communication and working style
- Proficient in common MS Office applications
- Good written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to travel frequently

About the Role: The Operational Audit Associate oversees audits of third-party collection agencies, law firms, and the internal recovery team to ensure compliance with the FDCPA and other regulatory requirements. This role evaluates operational processes, inventory management, and collection practices through onsite and offsite audits. The auditor also monitors key controls and compliance areas such as dialing regulations, payment processing, dispute handling, licensing, and contract adherence while providing oversight and recommendations to strengthen operational performance and regulatory compliance. This role reports to the Lead, S&O. Responsibilities: - Conduct quarterly onsite and offsite audits of third-party collection agencies, law firms, and internal recovery operations to assess performance, operational processes, and regulatory compliance. - Audit inventory, accounts, and files forwarded to agencies to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies. - Review call recordings, written communications, and outbound collection activity (letters, emails, dialing, SMS, prerecorded messages, chat) to ensure compliance with the FDCPA and other applicable laws. - Evaluate key compliance and operational areas including dialing regulations, payment processing, disputes, settlements, payment plans, licensing, and contract adherence. - Identify deficiencies or non-compliant activities, document findings, and partner with agencies to implement corrective actions. - Prepare detailed audit reports and maintain records to support internal monitoring and regulatory reviews. - Collaborate with Compliance and Operations teams to stay current on regulatory requirements and industry best practices. - Provide recommendations to leadership regarding vendor performance, retention, or termination. - Conduct performance audits including liquidation rate analysis and improvement opportunities. Role Description Bring your management systems audit skills and food safety sector experience to our Management Systems Lead Auditor role (subcontract / as needed basis) and make the most of your professional skills doing more of the work you enjoy. This role is home-based position with extensive travel required. You will perform business assurance assessments and recommend certification, deferral, suspension, or withdrawal of certification in accordance with FSSC22000 and ISO9001 management systems standards. You will: - Have GFSI standard auditor certification (FSSC, SQF, BRC or IFS) - Have substantial experience in third party auditing/assessment to FSSC22000 and ISO9001 including system level auditing and process level auditing. - Have a minimum of five years of full-time work experience in the food-chain-related industry, including at least two years of work in quality assurance or food safety functions within food production or manufacturing, retailing, inspection or enforcement, or the equivalent. - Have experience with a wide range of food products including but not limited to confectionary, dry and wet pet food, beverages, and other food products. - Hold a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject (including studies in general microbiology, general chemistry, and food science). - Possess a high standard of personal presentation, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a flexible attitude. - Have the ability to travel extensively throughout North America, and occasionally overseas if needed. - Be keenly focused on client service excellence. - You will be competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Work safely and robustly implement health and safety rules, instructions, and systems.
