Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of consultative sales experience selling professional services preferably to or within the life sciences industry
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Proficient at closing sales
  • Proficient at creating, developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Experience and comfort with prospecting
  • Quick learner
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time locally, within a region
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Role Description This person serves as the primary grant writer, oversees grants through tracking of finances for grants/special projects, coordinates funder relationships, engages in grant compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives. It also includes collaboration with the impacted departments, the Finance department, and funders. - Researches new funding and business development opportunities both privately and at various government levels. - Drafts proposals/Letters Of Intent (LOIs), grant application narratives (including Housing and Urban Development and related Continuum of Care applications), and budgets in collaboration with program staff, Finance, the Executive Team, and the CEO. - Oversees grant applications and all of their components including but not limited to initiating, writing, compiling, and coordinating of any staff contributors to the grant application, general oversight of the application, submission, and response to grantors. - Project manages awarded grant applications and special projects (as assigned by the VP of Development and Strategy) to ensure the budgets are compiled and reports are completed and submitted to the funders or grantors. - Creates and maintains charts or other visual media that showcase grant financial statuses. - Researches and translates funder requirements including budgets to assist the Executive Team with evaluation of a possible application. - Keeps up-to-date with grant-maker changes that impact granted programs. - Integrates grant reporting with the Finance Department to ensure that expenses and revenues meet contract and corporate specifications. - Evaluates grant/contract financial and statistical data to monitor grant/special project compliance. - Works in collaboration with managers and members of the Executive Team to ensure program compliance with grants and special projects. - Trains staff in procedures and requirements of any grants/special projects. - Searches for new grant programs for which the agency may be eligible, including reviewing subscription grant publications or website access. - Attends external funder and internal grants/special projects meetings as needed. - Attends relevant trainings for grant management and grant writing. - Is mindful of and integrates Trauma-Informed Care and its five principles in all duties and interactions with fellow staff, residents, and external partners. - Initiates and/or assists with policy development related to grants. - Maintains compliance with all required rules and regulations, including Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid and/or HUD, and any others. - Assists in the implementation of the corporation’s strategic plan. - Regular attendance at work location. - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Other duties may be assigned.
