About the Role: Wing is looking for a Aviation Training & Operations Readiness Lead to join our Flight Operations team. This role is based remotely in the United States. We are seeking highly motivated, future focused individuals to fill this critical leadership role that is responsible for steering Wing’s aviation training and operational evaluation teams through a period of rapid, high scale growth. Reporting to the Head of Global Flight Ops, Standards, & Regulatory Affairs, you will lead a multidisciplinary team focused on an end-to-end lifecycle validating baseline operational procedures through operational evaluations, partnering with Chief Pilots around the globe on flight standards, and overseeing the development and execution of high impact training content. You will be instrumental in forward leaning initiatives, such as the transition to Part 108 future operations and the implementation of procedures supporting ever greater system automation as Wing brings drone delivery to communities around the globe. What You’ll Do: - Collaborate closely with numerous cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate new technologies, capabilities, and procedures to ensure their end to end readiness for operational deployment - Engage routinely with flight operations leadership around the globe to ensure training activities are meeting the current and future needs of commercial operations - Provide strategic leadership for aviation training and operational evaluation teams to continuously improve efficiency, throughput, and quality - Standardize global flight operations by partnering with regional Chief Pilots to ensure a unified approach to safety and performance while accounting for local regulatory nuances - Design and implement a data-driven feedback loop between operational evaluations and training curricula to rapidly iterate on procedures as the technology evolves - Drive the operational readiness for future Part 108 implementation and deployment of ever greater system automation to enable next gen delivery capabilities - Oversee the development and delivery of high impact training content that is responsive to rapid system, operational, and regulatory improvements - Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of aviation training and operational evaluation professionals What You’ll Need: - Part 107 Remote pilot certificate - 12+ years of experience in aviation training, operations, or flight test - 5+ years of building and mentoring high performing teams - Experience leading programs to deploy new technologies and procedures into aviation operations - Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience - Experience scaling, operationalizing, or commercializing at a previous company - Commercial Pilot Certificate and Certified Flight Instructor desired The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits.
